Mykonos Guide

Mykonos – You got me!

The most famous island of the Aegean and Greece’s most popular tourist destination is Mykonos! This beautiful place has always attracted quite some celebrities, countless bars and award-winning restaurants. Dreamy mansions and expensive yachts can be found on Mykonos in almost every corner, as well as a list of exclusive parties. The people on Mykonos celebrate passionately – themselves and life in general. Cute white houses with blue windows and doors, quaint windmills, small churches and cozy cafés are define the island’s townscape.

Mykonos gave me a cosmopolitan vibe right away, which is why it instantly had me under its spell. The historic old town and the harbor are beautiful and invite you to go for a walk through the alleys, which seem a little bit like a labyrinth. The many taverns, shops and art galleries are very cozy. Speaking of art: I warmly recommend you to visit Rarity Gallery. The gallery is not very big. It is located in one of the more interesting shopping streets of the island, though, and therefore a short visit can easily be combined with a small shopping trip. Of course, Mykonos’ culinary offers are a true delight. I love trying the typical dishes when being abroad – who doesn’t?! And therefore I recommend you to try the classic Greek waffles. They are just as delicious as they look and enjoyed them very much ;-)).
